American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) Discussion

AAOHN has an open discussion right now and will be contemplating these questions for a while. We feel that Utah and our sister chapters in every state can voice their opinions/concerns at the local levels and we can send them up to AAOHN. So take a look at these (members and non-members) and please comment your opinion in hopes to get a discussion going.

Please discuss:

  • How might AAOHN need to shift its brand to better reflect the important roles occupational and environmental health nurses play in maintaining and improving the health and safety of workers in the workplace, as well as positively improving business outcomes?
  • Given growing competition with other organizations in our field, how should AAOHN prove its value to members and prospective members alike?
  • How do you think the AAOHN could work better for YOU?
  • How do you personally feel about your current membership/ non-membership status?

You can also contact me directly and voice your concerns if you are hesitant to post anything.

Thank you
